If dogs could speak, "I could be your only dog!" is what our old Beagle, Clyde, would be saying to each visitor he takes a liking to.  He is the alpha dog of our three canines, and doesn't like to share attention with his niece, Trinket, or our huge white Labrador, Trevor.

Adding to the commotion that greets all visitors is our Amazon parrot, Winslow.  Clyde's expression reflects his solitary thoughts and his wish to be an "only dog."
