Ravenworks Art Studio Bainbridge Island

Sculpture by Roy Peratrovich, Jr.

The Process - The artist's concept is developed in a clay sculpture.  When he is satisfied with the design, the model is reproduced in wax and sent to a bronze foundry where a ceramic mold is made and the sculpture is translated into bronze through the lost wax casting method.  Each piece of a Limited Edition is cast and finished in a labor-intensive process, ending with the application of special patinas under the direction of the artist. Roy is currently working with 2Ravens Studio in Tacoma, Washington to achieve the results he is looing for.
